Bingo Godz Review
Bingo Godz Overview
Bingo Godz launched in August 2013 to much fanfare as it brought several new and exciting aspects to the online bingo experience. The main talking point has been the social elements of the site with level unlocking, status sharing and power ups all available for the first time on a pay-to-play bingo website. In fact, most nearly everything about Bingo Godz is different with newcomer Bede Gaming providing the software for the site. There's no same old networked bingo lobby, but instead a player hub consisting of different themed bingo rooms to unlock. All in all Bingo Godz is a very exciting and welcome addition to the world of online bingo.
Site Design
The homepage is pleasing on the eye and the sign-up process quick and easy, but it's when you get into the player hub that the incredible design of the site really hits you. There are six different worlds to choose from: Greek, Eastern, Egyptian, Tiki, Norse and Cosmic. It takes time to access all the worlds (you get gifts from the Gods to unlock levels), but of what I saw of the Greek and Eastern worlds the designers have surpassed themselves. I love the names of the bingo rooms too - Statue of Atlas, Chow Main Bridge...very exotic! It also made me smile to hear actor Brian Blessed's booming voice call out the balls in the Greek world.
Bonuses
The opening deposit bonus at Bingo Godz is out of this world: a 300% cash match bonus up to £150! Deposit just £10 and get £30 FREE! It's a fantastic deposit offer and shows the site really means business as the uniqueness of Bingo Godz should attract people in its own right anyway. For VIPs there are are all kinds of generous promotions, cashbacks and reload bonuses on offer every month. And if you count level ups as bonuses then everyone is included!
Games and Jackpots
At present the site only has 90 ball bingo to play. This may be because the site is still adding to its product and 75 ball bingo will be shoehorned in later, but it may also be because the owners have decided that British players are happy with just 90 ball bingo. I must admit whenever I play online bingo I only dabble in 90 ball, so the lack of 75 ball doesn't bother me. There is also free bingo to play and a wide selection of sidegames to dip into. The games jackpots look very generous with Megajackpots payouts starting at a cool £1.5m.
Community
Bingo Godz is a new site and isn't networked up to dozens of other bingo sites, but it's still busy in all the rooms. The CMs are polite, friendly and fun to a tee. The social games element (collecting Godz) that exists as part of the site seems to draw in a new kind of player too who is more inclined to linger longer and chat. All in all a fantastic community of people.
Sammy's Verdict
Bingo Godz is certainly a bold move given no one has attempted to merge pay-to-play bingo with the social bingo model. Some would say it is an educated punt, but progress does not happen without risk and I applaud Bingo Godz for breaking new ground and giving bingo players a new and exciting experience to get their teeth stuck into. Highly recommended and I think this site is the future of online bingo (or at least one type of online bingo).
